22Dragons has been hosting race events in Montreal for 17 years and has been one of the nation’s leaders in leading the sport of dragon boat racing. 22Dragons was the first organization to host sport races in Canada beginning in 2007 with our Lachine knockout and Quebec cup
In 2014, 22Dragons partnered with H2O Playground to work together in co-hosting the Montreal International Dragon Boat Challenge. One of the largest events in North America with 160+ teams and easily it’s most competitive. This partnership is called Mission Dragon Boat.
LACHINE KNOCKOUT
Presented every early June, the Lachine Knockout features 200m and speed! Each team will race 2 qualifying heats and a final. All sport teams will do “knock-out” finals (each round the team in last position will be eliminated, others go back to start line until we can crown a winner). For the community teams, the knockout finals will be determined according to the number of teams registered.
QUÉBEC CUP
Presented every mid-September, the Québec Cup is the ultimate event of the dragon boat season in Québec. This event features 200m, 500m (one qualifying heat and one final) and the exciting 2000m with 7 turns. The ideal occasion to gather everyone from the dragon boat community one last time before the cold days.
