Myrtle Beach Training Camp

Welcome to the 22Dragons Camp Experience

Nestled along the scenic Intracoastal Waterway in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina—also known as the Grand Strand, a stunning 60-mile stretch of beaches and boardwalks—22Dragons Camp offers the ultimate Dragon Boat training experience.

The camp is lead by world class coaches Matthew Robert and Matthew Smith. Matthew Robert is a former coach for Team Canada’s Premier Open team, a founder of 22Dragons and leads the organization of over 47 dragon boat events annually in North America. Matthew Smith is head coach at 22Dragons is still currently working with Canada’s National Premier Team and recently captured his 3rd Nation’s cup at the 2024 World Championships in Germany, an event where he was also inducted into the IDBF’s Hall of fame.

Each day of camp is built around key components of elite paddling: technique, training strategies, race tactics, physiology, psychology, and teamwork. These aren’t just lessons—they’re part of daily life at 22Dragons.

Paddlers can expect two training sessions a day, personalized coaching, in-depth video reviews, and a fun, supportive environment. Whether you’re chasing podiums or personal growth, this is where passion meets performance—on and off the water.
