Year-long Intermediate Teams
22Dragons has a few established intermediate teams that stemmed from the beginner programs. The possibility to join one of our intermediate teams depends on the availability of places in the team and on the experience of the joining paddler.
The intermediate teams practice year-long. In the summer, they practice on the dragon boats and in the winter, they use our indoor paddling tank to refine their paddling technique. They also have access to our group training room where they do HIIT training.
Interested in joining one of our intermediate teams? Send an email to club@22dragons.com telling us about yourself and your paddling experience so we can find the right team for you!
Our intermediate teams

TNT
Established in 2022, TNT trains on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Despite their extra-curriculars ranging from bowling to board games to beer tasting, do not mistake these paddlers for mere socialites. The team is mostly composed of the competitive Zodiac signs and is not afraid to race hard… possibly with a BBQ afterward. Watch as TNT goes BOOM!
Coach: Stephanie Chin
Captain: Vera Wagner
Dragon Wings
Dragon Wings is a fun-loving, community-level dragon boat team that balances good vibes with a passion for paddling. Founded in 2022, we practice twice a week and engage in competitons, bringing together a crew that enjoys the sport, good company, and the occasional pun. We welcome paddlers with at least one season of experience who are looking for a supportive team that works hard, plays hard, and always keeps the paddles moving. Come fly with us!
Coaches: Caroline Fortin, Carmen Sweetoo, and Eugene Sweetoo
Captain: Sarah MacDonald

Red Pandas
22D’s Red Pandas are a brand new intermediate team that was created from a summer-long beginner team in 2024! They have one summer of racing under their belt and are ready for more action. The team is a mixed crew composed of paddlers aged 30-50. What started as a boat of strangers ended up in year-long friendships, going for some beer at Terrasse Sainte-Ambroise and going to trivia nights at bars!
Want to join? We’re looking for new paddlers, little experience required!
Coach: Eugene Sweetoo
