22Dragons’ senior program is composed of the Senior A (40+), Senior B (50+), and the Senior C (60+) teams.

History

22Dragons has been setting the pace in senior dragon boating since 2007, when we first launched the Senior A Open team. The team made waves in Penang in 2008, kicking off an exciting journey that’s been full of passion, competition, and international success. Over the years, our program has grown to include Senior A and B Mixed teams (2008), Senior A Women (2009), Senior B Women (2011), and Senior C Mixed and Women teams (2018). From Macau to Hong Kong, Szeged, Sarasota, and Ravenna, our athletes have competed fiercely and brought home medals in various categories, proving that age is no barrier to greatness!

Fast forward to today, and 22Dragons runs a vibrant senior sports program for all ages: Senior A (over 40), Senior B (over 50), and Senior C (over 60). Led by the talented Matt Smith (whose expertise you’ll find showcased elsewhere on the site), along with an amazing team of coaches, we’ve created a program that blends high-energy paddling, strength training, and circuit workouts, all designed to keep you at your best. It’s a perfect mix of fitness, competition, and team spirit – all while having a blast on the water!
